Monday Motivation - January 13th

Good morning everyone,

My turn to welcome you to 2020! I did enjoy Luke B’s Monday Motivation last week, and especially the article ‘The Tail End’, by Tim Urban – a great way to reflect on how important each day is when put into perspective.

While most of us start a new year with the best intentions, less than 10% of people who make resolutions actually see them through. Grant has written a blog post to try and help us succeed in this area, featuring some easy techniques that should help us smash our 2020 goals. Have a read here.

For a more tech-savvy approach to goal achieving, check out The Evening Standard’s list of tracking apps that should help with all kinds of new year’s resolutions. Of particular interest is the ‘Poop Tracker’ app – just what will they think of next?!

Speaking of resolutions, it’s possibly a bit late to invite you to join me on mine – I’m attempting ‘Dry January’. I’ve mentioned it to a few people, and most agree as the years go by, it’s harder for your body to process alcohol. Check out this article for some benefits of alcohol-free time. Of course, there is no reason why it needs to be January - in fact, February is the shortest month of the year so maybe that would be worth considering! I’m now 13 days in and I feel great!

The start of a new year is always a great time to reassess your health and fitness goals for the next year (or decade). I’d like to offer our Chiropractors’ help in this process.
