Mindful Monday - August 3rd

Hello and good morning to you all!

Thanks Craig for stepping in last week and sharing an insightful MM from glorious Cornwall (still seriously jealous) – you can find it here if you missed it.

I've got a little lighthearted one for you this week with some feelgood stuff that I'm currently into. Hope you dig it, too!

Album on repeat

The Black Pumas' self-titled album is cool – very cool, in fact. (If you like them you'll probably also enjoy American Love Call by Durand Jones & The Indications.) And for a sultry folk vibe, check out The Roving by Bonny Light Horseman – great name.

Watched and loved

From the makers of Little Miss Sunshine comes this new fave, The Peanut Butter Falcon. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll smile and feel good.

Short watch

Fantasising about adventure?Yeah, me too. This guy is living adventure. He's walking around the world... with his dog.

Favourite supplement

I've taken a lot of vitamins, tonics, potions, pills, herbs and goodness knows what over the years… some good, some not so good. These days there's really only one that I take on a daily basis – Athletic Greens. It's pretty much got you covered for the daily essentials though obviously doesn't replace a good diet, but it kinda fills in the gaps...

Fancy a different view?

For those of you still holed up in isolation, you can now check out the view from someone else's window on Window Swap. Brilliant.

I've missed sports…

The NBA (American Basketball for those of you less inclined) league has just restarted. They've basically put all their playoff-hopeful teams in hotels in Florida’s Disney World and will play out the season under lock and key. A rookie from the Philadelphia 76ers is vlogging his journey through this most bizarre NBA bubble on YouYube here. It's pretty cool, even if you're not into hoops.

I'm trying to do this:

Make others look good in front of the people they care about most.

So simple, yet so underrated.

Big love,

Luke X
